LS joint welding machines are designed for welding copper or aluminum multi-wire cores in couplings. Butt welding of multi-wire cores is performed in disposable welding couplings made of graphite, ceramics or glass. This makes it possible to obtain non-graded joints with an insignificant area of reduced flexibility of the core and the same electrical conductivity throughout the seam section.
